Guardiola wants Isco & Man City believe they can get deal done around €80m (MD)
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to reports in Spain.
Despite City's fantastic success in England this season - winning the Premier League in record-breaking fashion and claiming the Carabao Cup - Guardiola wants to bolster his squad even further.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the former Barcelona manager wants to bring in Isco for €80m plus bonuses to strengthen City's squad for an assault on next season's Champions League.
Guardiola sees the Spanish international as a footballer who fits in with the way he wants his side to play and is sure the midfielder would adapt to the English game quickly.
City believe the big-money offer would be hard for Madrid to reject, especially if Isco presses for the exit door this summer.
Isco is determined to become a key player for his side and can't be sure of his long-term future at Madrid due to the wealth of competition within Zinedine Zidane's squad.
Guardiola is eyeing success in the Champions League next season following a disappointing quarter-final exit this year.
City were beaten 5-1 on aggregate by fellow Premier League side Liverpool, who face Madrid in the final on Saturday evening in Kiev.
